RAOB silver service medal, Craig
Medal presented to Bert Craig by the Sirdar Lodge, Royal Ancient Order of Buffaloes, for bravery. At the age of 23 Bert Craig rescued a workman named Jones who was buried by a heavy roof fall underground at Nixon's Navigation Colliery, Mountain Ash, on 14 November 1922.
The Museum also holds Craig’s Edward Medal and George Cross awarded for the same act of bravery (Accession Numbers 73.28H & 88.18H/1).
