Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a buff-tinged white translucency; standing on a tapering foot rim curving into slightly curved spreading sides; lobed lip; painted with four landscape vignettes around the edge and cavetto, - an arched bridge over a river with figures in a boat and mountains in the distance; sailboats and figures; a ruined archway and cottage, overlooking a landscape in the distance; two figures fishing, with a castle and mountains in the distance; a network of gilt branches painted between and around the vignettes, forming a wreath in the centre, gilt lip.
