Medieval seal die mould
Replica of a stone block (cut in oolitic limestone) seemingly for casting the reverse side of seal matrices; of date perhaps about 1270-1340. The block makes provision for a circular seal, and for three oval dies - two of them having a handle for suspension. All fit in well within the general pattern of the lesser personal seal dies of the period.
