Tattoo flash
Knight, Jessie (Jessie Knight was the first prominent female tattooist in the UK. She took over her father's tattoo shop in Barry aged 18 in 1927 and went on to prominence whilst working in Chatham, Portsmouth and Aldershot. She returned to Barry in 1968, and continued to work there as a tattoo artist into the 1980s.)
Nine images of flash on card including heart and dagger with text reading, ‘Florence’ and ‘Harold’ at the top middle. Images also include a female and a male sailor, Union Jack with the text ‘Francis’ and ‘George’, snake and head, and several hearts.
‘18’ is written at the bottom left. An outline drawing of a head and ‘6’ is written on the reverse. The text ‘Janet Wils on one…’ is also written faintly on the back.
