Post-Medieval clay pipe
Incomplete clay pipe with mouthpiece and part of stem missing. Large, thick-walled bowl with milling on rim and mould-pressed decoration of a dragon one side and a leek the other. 'NANTGARW' is on one side of the stem, with PARDOE on the other. William Henry Pardoe took over the Nantgarw Pottery in 1833. Clay pipe production was thought to have been intorduced under his ownership.
