Karkoubi, Mohamad (Mohamad Karkoubi was born in Aleppo, Syria, in 1982 and worked as a blacksmith, a trade shared by his father and eldest brother. In 2012, following an air raid that destroyed their home, Mohamad, his wife Eshrak Daher, and their three children fled Aleppo for Lebanon. Three years later, in 2015, the family was resettled in Aberystwyth, where their fourth child was born.)
