Plate, pale buff coloured earthenware, circular shape with slightly inset base, curving side and spreading rim; covered all over with a white tim glaze, this then crudely painted in blue to the centre of the well a design of Chinese style trees and a fence, the design enclosed within a circular border of two blue bands, border to the rim of large very stylized foliage and feathery scrolls.
