Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, globular body tapering inwards at the shoulder, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, the handle broken off and missing; transfer-printed in black with to the front of the body a small scene showing a recumbant lion between two pillars with a pair of scales and a crown within a radiant halo hovering above, around and across the scene is printed the inscription "THE PURITY OF THE CONSTITUTION RESTORED / LORDS / MAJY 84 / COMMONS / MAJY 116 / 1832, to one side of the body the inscription "ROYAL ASSENT / TO THE / REFORM / BILL / 7 JUNE 1832", within a wreath of ribbon-tied flowers and folaieg, to the other side of the body four head and shoulders portraits of different male figures within circular borders and respectively inscribed "EARL GREY", "LORD ALTHORP", "LORD JOHN RUSSELL", and "LORD BROUGHAM", around the inscription "THE ZEALOUS & SUCCESSFUL / PROMOTERS OF REFORM", border to the interior and exterior neck of alternating sprays of flowers and foliage and clasped hands enclosed within wreaths of foliage.
