Early Medieval wooden palisade plank
Palisade plank with laftwork.Thick radial section with sapwood. Slots cut into plank opposite each other. Trimmed extensively along sapwood side of one face to make it thinner. In fashioning the point, a small section of the original square end of the plank was left. Same tree as 508 (plank immediately to its south).
