Medieval pottery jar
Gower/Lower Tawe - quartz-gritted (fabric 7). This fabric has a profusion of medium and Large rounded and angular quartz grits. The core and surfaces are usually grey or dark grey, and external surfaces are often sooted. Vessels are plain, commonly witha beaded outer edge to the rim.
