Medieval pottery vessel
Gower/Lower Tawe - Limestone gritted (fabric 1) Soft light grey fabric notable for the inclusion of medium/large fragments of limestone and other calcite grits, some of which have leached out to leave cavities. Surfaces are generally grey varying to buff/orange. The vesssels represented are thick-walled with simple rims. The minimum number of vessels represented is two, although sherds are present in layers of Periods 1-2.
