Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, standing on a tapering foot rim, rounded, spreading sides, moulded with a large vine leaf, extending from the centre to the rim, issuing layered foliage and radiating patterns of veins from a curving central stalk, on a basketwork ground apparent on sections of the outer rim not covered by the leaf; transfer-printed in blue with two vignettes of spreading scrolls, flowers and leaves and one vignette of spreading shells, scrolls, flowers and leaves, all of which spread from the well up the sides of the plate, blue band to the outer rim.
