Dish, hard-paste porcelain, circular shape with short cylindrical foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim; to the centre of the well a circular panel finely painted in polychrome enamels with a view of Castello Gandolfino in Rome showing figures on a road in front of a large building with a dome, the panel enclosed by a gilt border, around the rim an elaborate border consisting of a gilt foliate band, a heavy plain gilt band, and above garlands of polychrome flowers between blue rosettes, evenly spaced around the rim are three oval panels on yellow grounds containing views of buildings in grey monochrome on red-brown grounds, a gilt edge to the rim.
