Early Medieval glass bowl
Rim of a shallow bowl; rim not bent outwards: horizontally laid spiral trail (faint now, through weathering) starting 5 mm from rim. Possibly made in Northern France (Campbell 91).

Site Name: Dinas Powis, Vale of Glamorgan
Notes: Cut XV, Layer (4a), Context- C C: Black, usually greasy soil, with small angular rubble; much bone, charcoal flecking; rich in finds. Excavation conducted in the promontory fort and the adjoining hill-slope enclosure.
