Seal impression: Paltinate of Durham
The king in armour on a horse galloping over rocky ground to right; arms of shield, jupon, and horse caparisons as E241. Upon his helmet, a cap of maintenance, for crest, a lion statant crowned. In field, below his right hand, a shield: a cross between four lions rampant, SEE OF DURHAM. In field, sprays of broom (planta genista - for Plantagenet) with pods.
