Seal impression: Personal seal
Reverse. Within a richly carved gothic rosace of twenty-four trefoiled cusps, a quatrefoil in each spandril, the border enriched with ball flowers, a shield: checky, on a chevron five (ermine) spots, NEWBURGH (from whom the earldom passed by inheritance to the Beauchamps). The legend is a continuation of that on the obverse.
