Toby jug
Toby jug, earthenware, standing on an octagonal base, the jug modelled in the form of a corpulent seated figure with brown cocked hat forming the mouth of the jug, long coat decorated with a sponged brown pattern and orange spots and cuffs, cravat, vest patterned in brown, brown striped knee-breeches with orange spots, and brown shoes, the figure holds a beer jug on the knee with both hands, a long tobacco pipe rests to one side, to the rear of the jug a plain loop handle, the beer jug and handle decorated with further brown patterns.
