Jug
Jug, pearlware, standing on a spreading waisted foot-rim, bulbous sides with four raised vertical bosses creating four corners to the jug, sloping inwards at the shoulder to a raised neck with waving lip-rim, plain beak spout, angular handle with raised thumb-spur, the exterior body of the jug moulded with vertical fluting against which four roundels are reserved, a band of beading around the shoulder, the handle edged with beading, the exterior neck and spout moulded with raised flowers and foliage, including roses and tulips; the exterior of the jug covered all over with silver lustre which has then been decorated using silver resist techniques so that white stripes are created along the vertical fluting and along the handle, and so that the moulded flowers and foliage to the neck are left white, the roundels decorated with stylized sprays of flowers and foliage in white. The spout and handle chipped.
