P.S. Barry in the Cumberland Basin. Tuesday 25 September 1914. Returning from transporting prisoners of war to Ireland and the Isle of Man. On the right is the Devonia, about to leave for minesweeping trials.
The paddle steamer BARRY, built 1907, was renamed H.M.S. Barryfield during the First World War and then became the WAVERLEY in 1925.
