Roman samian bowl, decorated
The ovolo border and the vertical border are of extra ordinarily large, coarse wavy lines. Lines of this kind were used in the Antonine period by Servus II, Pugnus and sometimes by Casurius. The figure type is O.538 or a slight variant. This is used frequently by Butrio, but this sherd is much later than his work. Possibly the style is that of Servus II.
