Figure of Daniel flanked by lions, white earthenware with a crackle glaze, on a very low and irregular oval base with a flat back, encircled by a gilt line. Largely white and gilt (gilding very worn), Daniel in white robes patterned with gilt sprigs, naturalistically painted face, with grey hair and beard, looking upwards and half kneeling on left knee with right arm bent across chest and with left arm resting on his head, flanked by two seated lions.
