Dish, oval, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into rounded sides flaring slightly at lip; lobed edge with six large and six small lobes, and a grooved cavetto; transfer printed in underglaze blue with the 'Elephant pattern', - a Chinoiserie style garden with a willow tree, two flowering bushes and an insect, and a fretwork fence enclosing tow elephant shaped bushes; border of trailing stylised flowers and leaves inside a narrow border of quatrefoils within a trellis pattern.
