Sucrier with cover
Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a very short cylindrical foot-rim, bulbous body with slightly flaring lip-rim, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a flower bud with a leaf, another leaf attached to the finial has broken off; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to one side of the exterior body of the sucrier and the top of the cover landscapes with rivers and red-roofed buildings, the landscape on the sucrier has figures in the foreground, around the rest of the exterior body of the sucrier and the top of the cover are scattered floral sprigs in puce, gilt bands around the lower body and exterior lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover, the flower bud finial picked out in gilt. The flange of the cover chipped.
