LYMWELIAD/Y. BRENIN. SIOR. IV.dd AG YNYS FON/AWST VII fed MDCCCXXI/GEO IV REX/MONAM INVISENS. HUC APPULIT. Aug VII AD. MDCCCXXI/ in honour of the visit of/His Majesty George the Fourth/TO THE PRINCIPALITY OF WALES/in token of their grateful feeling for his unremitting exertions/IN CONDUCTING THE WORK, together with an elevation of the arch.
