Within two niches below a double gothic-type canopy, dext. St.Oswald crowned; ; sin. St.Cuthbert, with tall (tiara-like) mitre, giving a blessing. To eiher side attached to the tabernacle work, a shield: a chevron between three crosses patonce, FORDHAM. In a canopied niche above, the Blessed Virgin seated with her Child. To either side, under a penthouse roof is the half-figure of an angel with wings extended. In base, under a partly-cusped rounded arch, the bishop kneeling in prayer. To either side, in a small niche, a bust of ? a monk in choir.
