Roman samian bowl
A small bowl. The ovolo has a trifid-tongue tip, bent to the right. A very untidy panelled design contains leafy arches, set of plump columns, and figures of a satyr carring a bunch of grapes. Another panel has a pair of figures, possibly a Diana and Silenus. The satyr is O.597, but the other two figures are not in Oswald (1936/7). There is a bowl in a similar style at Margindunum.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
