Built 1938 by Short Brothers Ltd., Sunderland (oil-burning triple-expansion steam engine by North Eastern Marine Engineering Co.), for Atlanticos Steamship Co. Ltd., Piraeus, managed by Kulukundis Shipping SA, London. 1939 – At the outbreak of war, she was chartered to the Swiss War Transport Administration (no changeof name), managed by Honneger & Ascott, London. 1947 – Returned by the Swiss Government to Atlanticos. 1956 – Sold to Theseus Steamship Co.Ltd., Piraeus, managed by Kulukundis Shipping Co. SA, London. Renamed MASTER ELIAS in 1958. 1965 – Sold to Umberto d’Amato, Torre del Greco, and renamed UMBERTO D’AMATO. 1971 – Sold to Guiseppe Lembo, Torre del Greco, and renamed MENA LEMBO. She was resold later that year to Cantieri Navali Santa Maria, La Spezia , and broken up there in the October. (ref : - swiss-ships.ch/kreig)
