Answer book
One of four Welsh Folk Museum Answer Books, 1973, (See MS 1941/1, 3-4) received from W. Beynon Davies, Aberystwyth, containing notes on burial and death cutoms in central Cardiganshire area between 1900 and 1950. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
