Medieval ceramic floor tiles
Lewis Group 30 plain tile
Gritty buff fabric, tending to be warped through over-firing; with or without a streaky white slip applied carelessly with a brush; yellow glaze; bevelled edges and sanded bases with five circular scoops. The tiles are 170mm square and about 20-22mm thick; also diagonal half-tiles with sides 160mm. Undecorated.
