Coles and Haynes, Cambrian Pottery (1790 - 1802)
Dish, cream-coloured earthenware, finely crazed glaze, slightly tinged with blue; press-moulded and jiggered; silver shape with a notched and lobed rim with upturned edge, flat base; painted in underglaze blue and green and in ochre, yellow and brown with a chinoiserie landscape comprising an island with a double roofed pagoda flanked by two outsized flowering plants, water and weeds below, V-shaped formations of flying birds in the sky; the rim edged in brown and with a running pattern of blue and yellow marguerites and foliage.
