Dish, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a tapering foot-rim, spreading curving sides, the sides of the well moulded with raised vertical ridges, the rim shaped with ten lobes; delicately painted in polychrome enamels in the Chinese 'Famille rose' style with to the centre of the well a lobed panel, to the centre of the panel an exotic bird perches on a spreading branch issuing flowers and foliage, further branches with flowers and foliage surround the outside of the panel, to the rim the lobes are painted with alternating panels of small flowers and foliage, and a lattice-work design on a turquoise ground.
