Seal impression: Tenby common seal
A portcullis-gate flanked by two towers on each of which a trumpeter; in centre chief an inscutcheon: in chief barry of three charged with as many martlets, two and one, and in base a like number of cinquefoils, two and one: these arms perhaps deriving from DE VALENCE (William de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, having given the borough its first charter). The legend is the same as onthe obverse : (see 92.146H/1)
