Sugar bowl with cover
Sugar bowl, hard-paste porcelain, cylindrical sides tapering inward at base, depressed cover with acorn finial and moulded leaf; sides decorated in polychrome enamels with an exotic bird in red, yellow, brown and purple, perched on a U-shaped branch issuing from a pile of rocks, gilt line at lip, opposite a foliage spray; cover painted with a wreath of foliage inhabited by two brightly painted birds, acorn finial gilded and modelled leaf painted in green, gilt border to rim.
