Early Medieval copper alloy clamp
Small clamp for fastening a rim binding strip to a bucket, drinking horn or leather cup. Ornamented with two cast grooves. Such clamps are common in Anglo-Saxon graves and occur also on the elegant shape of the present clamp, giving emphasis to the domed head of the rivet, is distinctly unusual.
