18th century bow-settle of pine and ash; scrolled and crescented arms; back braced with 3 uprights and coopered with cock-beaded boards to floor; joints papered-over on back and grained; boards located with clout-nails; bow achieved through template as opposed to bentwood work; supported on 3 front square-section uprights and rear backboards and uprights.
