Early Bronze Age pottery miniature vessel
Restored food vessel from many fragments, of gritty buff ware and biconical type, with flat-topped incurved rim and broad furrows around the girth and above the base. Decorated with 'maggot' impressions forming chevrons on the upper portion; horizontal lines in the girth and base furrows, diagonal lines on the lower portion, and radiating lines on the base. May also be called a 'food bowl' or 'Irish bowl'.

Site Name: Maes-hwyaid Farm, Welsh St. Donats
Notes: Found in fragments lying under the stone kerb of the barrow. This is a different barrow to the one from which the material under accession number 69.121 was found. The farm has also been referred to as Maes-y-Ward.
