Wedding dress
Wedding dress (bodice and skilrt), made from silver-grey taffeta. Worn in the 1860s by the daughter of the daughter of the Alderman John Williams. He had a draper's shop in Duke Street, Cardiff. Bodice with cuffs and vertical bands of grey satin. Front fastening with eleven self-covered buttons. Low stand collar. Watch pocket on left. Skirt: apron front divided in centre, pleated and ornamented with grey satin. Hem vertically pleated in groups of seven.
