Seal impression: Court of Queen's Bench
Obverse. Queen Elizabeth I seated on a Renaissance-style cushioned and canopied throne, its curtains flung open across the side rests. The monarch wears a tight-fitting bodice over which an open cloak surmounted by a tippet and (seemingly) the collar and badge of an order). Her right hand holds a long sceptre obliquely, in her left is an orb. The queen’s feet rest on a slightly projecting footboard. In field, dext. a Tudor rose crowned, sin. a fleur-de-lis similarly ensigned.
