Seal impression: Collegiate
On a pedestal upon a diapered pavement stands Our Lord as a boy, naked and holding his hands up in blessing. Upon his breast the monogram: ihu (for ihs). Standing dext.. the Blessed Virgin crowned and supporting the Infant Jesus; sin. St Nicholas of Myra, giving a blessing holding his staff. To his left a tub support three youths. Before them kneels the founder, Archdeacon John Doweman of Suffolk, at a desk bearing a monogram of his initials: I.D. In field, replenished with triform tongues of fire, the holy name, ihs or ihc, is repeated five times.
