Roman iron arrowhead
Arrowheads were attached to the shafts by means of either a socket or a tang. Vaned, socketed arrowheads were composed of a socketed head with three or four barbed vanes. This example is a quadruple-vaned arrowhead, with evidence of barbed ends surviving.
