Welsh costume hat
Tall hat, sloping crown, beaver silk worn away by handling and very faded by overexposure to light during extended display in Byegones gallery, National Museum, Cathays Park from 1928 to c 1948. Original black ribbon hat band missing, but fade mark visible. Cover of brim torn; lining missing. Very degraded.
