Plate, hard-paste porcelain, circular, footring; the edge is painted with gilding over a red base, the edge of the rim is painted with a narrow border of red swirls held between two red lines and overpainted with gold, the rim is decorated with dragons and flowers in underglaze blue, the central reserve is banded with a border of panels containing a red and gold floral pattern alternating with panels containing flower sprays, the centre is painted with two birds and a flower spray in red, gold, green and yellow circled by a red diamond border, the underside of the rim is painted with three large red flower sprays.
