Jug, hot water
Hot water jug, pewter with wicker covered handle, tall cylindrical form, the base raised by two runner feet soldered to the underside, short angular spout high on the body with curved lip, flat strap handle from beneath the rim to mid body, hinged cover of pyramidal form with simple, upright thumb rest with rounded end; the surface with imitation hand-hammering marks, a pattern of interlocking, sinuous stylised 'honesty' plants either side of the handle.
