Medieval copper alloy figurine
Figure of the virgin Mary from a processional cross. The figure is draped in a mantle from the head, facing slightly to the left, and has her hands over her breast. The rear of the figure is comparatively flat and plain. The base of the figure has a double moulded border before a faceted stem, thinning to an arm of rectangular cross section, with no decoration. The arm has broken in antiquity. The remnants of gilding survuve over the figure and the base.
