Tea-caddy and cover
Tea-caddy, hard-paste porcelain, rectangular form with flat base, straight sides, arched shoulder and short cylindrical neck, round cover with cylindrical sides and domed top, to the top of the cover a finial modelled in the form of a flower head with stem and leaves; finely painted in puce with to either side of the exterior body a view of European birds perched on spreading branches, scattered butterflies around the rest of the exterior body and the top of the cover, gilt lines around the base of the neck of the tea-caddy and the rim of the cover, the finial picked out in puce and gilt. The rim of the cover chipped.
