Roman copper alloy finger ring
Two finger-rings fused together and now fragmented
(i) Iron ring, poorly preserved but the hoop probably had a circular cross-section. The fragmentary bezel appears to have had an oval flat-bottomed recess.
(ii) Copper-alloy ring. Three fragments have an oval cross-section and two, adjoining pieces, have a roughly circular cross-section. The hoop appears to widen out towards the bezel but details are obscured by the overlapping of the bezel of the iron ring and its associated corrosion.
