Coal cleaning plant, photograph
Black and white photograph showing the disposal of the cleaned coal at a coal cleaning plant.
This photograph shows the travelling belts or booms by means of which the sized coals from the screens are conveyed to the waggons. Owing to the restricted amount of light, a satisfactory photograph of a loader house could only be taken when the machinery was not working, but the piles of coal on the floor indictae the sizes dealt with by the two booms included in the photograph.
