Spill vase
Spill-vase, bone china with a white translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim (ball and claw feet missing), curving into a cylindrical shape flaring prominently towards the lip, with a ridge above the foot and below the lip, rounded lip with a scalloped gallery; painted with a spray of forget-me-nots, and a gilt motif consisting of an urn containing a stylised flower, with a large foliate scroll and flower on each side; wide gilt band and two narrower bands above and below with a c-scroll reserve above the forget-me-nots, inscribed with 'and' in puce, below a sprig on forget-me-not; gilt band to the lip's interior.
