Plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a raised edge to the well, a slightly scalloped edge to the rim; transfer-printed in green with to the centre of the well a heraldic design composed of a large eagle with a lobed panel surrounded by foliate scrolls and a scrolling banner below, in the panel and on the banner is printed the inscription "IN / Commemoration / of / Sir W. W. Wynn Bart. / WYNNSTAY / Attaining his Majority / Twenty Second May / 1841 / NEC ME MEMINISSE PIGEBIT", a green edge to the well.
