Woven bookmark made at Maesllyn Woollen Mill and Museum in the 1980s.
Tabby-woven maroon bookmark made with maroon singles-woven yarns in the vertical direction and cream coloured yarns in the horizontal direction. Raw edges prevented from fraying by a line of machine stitches using black thread. Synthetic label applied to upper reverse with machine-made zig zag stitches using black thread. The label has a printed design of the mill set in a landscape in green, blue and black and printed inscription in black capital letters below. Image and text are surrounded by a blue border.
